WOMEN OF ST. TIMOTHY (W.O.S.T.) WILL BE SPONSORING A LIFE SUNDAY SERIES
With the 40th anniversary of Roe V. Wade coming up this January, and with nearly 50,000,000 abortions performed legally in the United States alone during that time, it is important to continue to bear witness both to the crying sin of taking the life of the unborn and to the unfailing depths of Christ’s forgiveness to all those who acknowledge their sin and turn to Him in repentance. It seems easiest to blame the women and to let them bear most of the feelings of guilt and the psychological trauma involved, we all bear responsibility in some ways. We all need to deal compassionately with those in need of support in their trouble, and graciously with those who have regrets. We all need to, in the words of the Holy Scriptures, Proverbs 31:8 (NKJV) “Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.”
Life Sunday is planned for January 13, although there will be some activities on the 6th and the 20th as well – particularly in Bible Class. The Bible classes will emphasize the importance of communicating grace and forgiveness as part of the pro-life message, as well as making sure that the sanctity of life is presented from the Bible. W.O.S.T will be providing the bulletin covers, materials for special Bible classes and white crosses which will, weather permitting, be placed in the lawn on January 13th.
