Myth Busters Bible Class
Over the years TV and magazines have described Christianity in ways that are entirely wrong. At such times we would think, “If they only knew!” Sadly, many people become confused and uncertain about their Christian faith because the myths about Christianity are so widely accepted. The class starts with those in mind who are trying to answer questions about the Christian faith. We meet together in a comfortable and informal atmosphere where questions are respected.
Here are some modern myths about Christianity:
- Science has disproved the Bible.
- We can’t know if there is a God.
- All religions are basically the same.
- Jesus was a shadowy figure largely unknowable.
- The Bible leaves out important books.
As we bust these myths, we will address questions like these:
- What does the Bible say to individuals and families facing the problems of today?
- Why so many religions? What are the differences?
- What is the Lutheran church about?
Come on February 18 at 7:00 p.m. for our introductory session and see what it's all about. Baby-sitting is provided. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 630-627-2435 or Pastor Bryant at 630-627-2408.
